Ginger is a stable in my diet due to it’s amazing health benefits. I listed a few of them here:
* Ginger soothes nausea and stomach upset. If you struggle with motion sickness or nausea (even from pregnancy nausea!),ginger is something you should have on hand.
* Ginger is anti-inflammatory, making it valuable for pain relief (joint pain, menstrual pain, headaches. It may even help relieve migraine headache!)
* Ginger is a metabolism boosting substance, so it’s also useful for weight control. 😉
I’ve tried to find ways how to add fresh ginger to my kids’ diet. Juicing has worked well, and now they also enjoy this smoothie:
Ingredients
- 1-2 inches of fresh ginger!( You don’t have to peel it if it’s organic)
- 2 cups spinache leaves(organic)
- 3 cellery stalks (choose organic if possible)
- 3 cups of frozen berries
- 1 cup coconut water
- (1tsp berry powder (I used acai))
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a blender
- Serve chilled
